Important notes about product quality

• Our objective is to always supply the best timber available

• We selectively discard timber that we think is unusable, but some knots will naturally occur. Treated Pine will sometimes vary in finished size by up to 2½ %

• If a few of the lengths in your order need to be particularly good for top handrail,  let us know in the special notes section of the checkout and we will select pieces for you

• Our structural timbers are guaranteed to be F7 or better.
  

• Beware of 90x90 and 90x70 Timber. Some other supplier product  is treated only to H3 level and is not suitable for in ground posts

• The majority of the timber that  the log factory supplies is Australian grown and milled treated pine, and it is generaly denser and stronger than the NZ pine. Ours is rated F7.
  

•  NZ timber in nearly all sizes rated to the lower F5 has been found not satisfying the Australian F7 structural criteria.
  

• 240x45 & 290x45. We sell this as F5 only even though  some is the higher F7.
  

     Important misc notes

• To keep timber pricing as low as possible we offer a consolidated delivery service - which means small deliveries may take up to 4 days

• When you order short lengths, they will often be delivered as one long length (eg 90x45mm 3 @ 1.8mtrs = 1 @ 5.4mtrs)

• You cannot amend your order, you can only cancel it (within 12 hours or we will charge a late cancellation fee)
